As a new guide for the coming season I would like to introduce myself and fill you in on my outdoor experience.
My name is Jasmine Shine and I am from New Zealand. I have always loved the outdoors and a good challenging adventure and this is what headed me in the direction to study Adventure Tourism. I have been working in the US for the past seven months as a Dog Sledding Adventure guide in Northern Michigan and have been having an amazing time. Winters up here are deffinatly a lot colder than back home and I have loved the experience. Back in New Zealand I worked as a glacier guide up on Franz Josef Glacier where I gained a lot of skills and experience in New Zealand's extreme outdoor environments. Previous to that I worked at Castaways on the West Coast Cliff tops of New Zealand as an adventure guide doing a range of different outdoor activities.
I love to get ip into the mountains and be in the outdoor, I have always been involved with trekking, climbing, camping, diving, fishing and having fun in the outdoors whenever possible, and as much as possible.
One of my favourite quotes: "Never fear quarrels, but seek hazardous adventures."
Looking forwards to the coming season.
