Our History
Exit Glacier Guides is a locally owned and operated company with a focus on affordable eco-tours centered around Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park in Seward, Alaska. Our goal is to provide our customers with an outdoor adventure experience that is very interactive with- and respectful of- the surrounding environment. We believe that extremely tactile tours like ours can confer a sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction that will leave you with a sense of wonder and accomplishment.
Each of our guides is a Wilderness First Responder, has extensive glacier travel experience, and has undergone an intensive in house training program. All their preparation is to provide our customers with a safe, comfortable and fun glacier experience. Our tours are centered on a concept of fun and levity, so sitting through a few bad guide jokes during your tour is required. The guides are extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area, so feel free to test them on non-glacier trivia about Seward during your tour.
Exit Glacier is a stunning area to experience, and even if you do not take one of our glacier tours, our shuttle is only 15 bucks so there is no need to miss it. We would be happy to advise you on whether or not our tours are right for you, and also be happy to recommend other relevant tour options in the area. We are located at 1013 3rd Ave, right on the outskirts of Seward's historic downtown. Our office is open from June to mid-September but we take reservations for tours all year long.
